He rarely speaks publicly about his views, preferring to let his wife take center stage. As Brunt recalled during an episode of "The Megyn Kelly Show" in November 2022, Kelly was getting full-time protection from a private security team because the stalker posed a credible threat.

According to Brunt, he and Kelly were "chaperoned like a couple of high school sophomores going to the prom" during their first date.

Today, he also hosts the podcast Dedicated with Doug Brunt, where he interviews bestselling authors while sharing a drink of their choice.

Their relationship wasn’t always easy, especially in the early days. Kelly had a stalker at the time, so their first few dates were chaperoned by security guards.

She has yet to respond to Lemon's most recent comments on his show, which was launched after another set to air on Elon Musk's X was called off after a combative interview between the two.

'But I figure someone had to stand up,' he said, titling the video: 'Megyn Kelly...Girl, Bye!'

'Especially for women, who [Kelly]  insults on an almost daily, weekly - whatever - basis.

'She's supposed to be some big proponent of women's rights,' he continued, explaining his recent barrage of videos.

'The reason that I [responded] is because I never take glee in anyone's downfall.'

He went on to hone in on Kelly's own firing from NBC - a decision triggered by her suggesting it was OK for white people to wear blackface at Halloween.

'Talking about Megyn Kelly, I didn't take glee in her downfall when she was fired from NBC,' Lemon said.

'I had to report on it as a journalist but I didn't take glee in the downfall.

'And if you look back, I said, you know, NBC is a to blame here - so I gave her the benefit of the doubt.'

He then brought up more recent claims from Kelly that he himself was using controversy surrounding Reid's firing to stay relevant, insisting that was not the case.

Lemon offered no further context or detail on the alleged stares that have offended him and was mocked online for the petty remark.

Kelly has been happily married to Brunt, an author, since 2008, while Lemon married realtor Tim Malone last year.

Instead, his focus is on his writing, his podcast, and their children.

Through it all, their marriage has remained solid. The two are seen here in Manhattan, after tying the knot in April of last year

He then declared Kelly  'has become a troll now,' suggesting her takes are a means of obtaining headlines.

'I believe that the evidence is there.

'I am actually embarrassed for her,' he added, before questioning her style of journalism.

In her X bio, Kelly writes how she is 'Happily married to Doug, crazy in love with my children [and is a] journalist'.

'Go f**k yourself,' Lemon said in response to Kelly's jibes about Reid - in one of many more-than-hour-long videos posted to his channel on Monday and Tuesday.
