Bees are brought in to pollinate the trees. The agricultural tourism provider is not liable for the injury or death of a person involved in an agricultural tourism activity resulting from those inherent risks.  The apples are cooled right away and stored at 34 degrees — the perfect temperature to keep them fresh.

It’s a big job, but it helps us grow the perfect crop.  The apples will be carefully packed in a special protective box, to ensure arriving in excellent condition.  Our crew gently fills bins, one apple at a time. It’s located about five miles east of Sunrise Orchards at the intersection of highways 61 and 171.

Our goal is to maintain the friendly atmosphere and excellent service Hillcrest is known for while adding a touch of Sunrise's distinctive flavor.

We can hold up to 80,000 bushels in our coolers. To see when each variety is available see our Apple Availability page.  And of course, our legendary cider donuts are made daily.  We offer apples in a variety of sizes to suit your needs: 3-apple bags, 5-pound, 10-pound, half bushels, and full bushels. our work begins long before the apples are ready to eat.

From December through April, we carefully prune each tree.

Apples are ground, pressed, and flash-pasteurized, with nothing added.   Our gift shop features beautiful artistry and vibrant photography from LANG products, including Christmas Cards, monthly wall calendars, mugs and tumblers.
